i got my ten year memory today. i could write a whole sappy post about it, but ive just driven 8 hours from los angeles to redwood city. i'm very tired. i'll keep it short if i can (ETA 1k characters nvm). i got this all because in seventh grade (2011) i made a calendar alert for the day that i made an imessage account and texted my crush for the first time. it was something that, at the time, i really wanted to remember. i even have a timestamp for it. every year i get that same reminder. it's juvenile and stupid but god it never fails to make me smile. the fourth time i got that alert i told a friend about it and she said "wow have i got an app for you." i loved the idea that i was making more of those alerts that would come back to me each year. so i added the day's memory and i added the day before's memory. and i waited. it took a while for them to start paying off, but they did, and now 3,654 entries later i have ten versions of myself that i can look at each day and be able to tell distinctly what makes each version different from the last. i love you if you remember me, i love you if you don't. my name is B and i have been on this bulletin board of global memories for ten years, and i remember all of you. goodnight -B
